Simply select your state and the desired vacation time in the filter in the online shop. Camp dates for locations in your state are coordinated with that state’s school vacation schedule.

Yes, at selected locations we offer Family Camps where parents can also come along.

At the Family Camp, adults and children learn English separately in the mornings. The afternoons and evenings are spent partly together and partly separately. Adults can look forward to Karaoke or Music Bingo, for example.

One-week camp periods can always be booked in our online store. If there are two consecutive weeks, please simply book the respective weeks individually. You will receive a discount on the total booking.

Please note: If an additional overnight stay is required between the camp periods (e.g. first camp ends on August 26, the next camp does not start until August 27), we will charge you 150 € per participant for this extra night.

Yes, for sure. Simply indicate the name of the person under „Fellow traveller“ when booking. We will check if it is realizable (age, gender, etc.).

Please note: To make sure that all children feel comfortable and nobody is excluded, we separate the rooms in the camp location by gender. We take care that especially diverse children feel welcome and integrated.

This depends on the program provider. Contact us before booking so we can check if an exception can be made.

A deposit is due as soon as we send you the booking confirmation by email. You will find the exact amount directly in your invoice, which you will receive together with the confirmation email.

Please pay the remaining amount six weeks before the start of the camp at the very latest. Of course, you can also pay the entire amount straight away.

For bookings from abroad, the full invoice amount must be paid within 10 days of booking confirmation.

We accept the following payment methods in our online shop: Visa, Mastercard, SEPA, bank transfer, and PayPal. Please note that SEPA payment is only available for German accounts.

If you wish to pay by bank transfer, you will find our bank details at the bottom of the invoice that you receive via email with the booking confirmation.

No, payment in instalments is not possible for our kids & teens language camps.

Yes, we do! When registering siblings, the second and each subsequent child will receive a 10% discount on the language camp price. You can select the discount in the checkout when booking these together and it will be deducted directly from the price. If the siblings are attending different camps, please contact our team.

Please note: The sibling discount cannot be combined with other vouchers/discount promotions. There will be no cash payment, partial redemption, or retroactive crediting to bookings already made. Terms and conditions of Berlitz Deutschland GmbH apply.

Your contact person at the camp is the Camp Director. Before the camp starts, you will receive an email with the name and telephone number of the Camp Director.

If you have an urgent request, please contact the Camp Director, preferably via text message/WhatsApp with your callback request.

We ask for your understanding that the Camp Directors cannot be immediately reached at all times, as they are also responsible for the entire organization and supervision of the camps.

Our counselors come from different countries around the world and speak the camp language at a native level. They are there for the participants all day, teaching in the mornings, arranging activities in the afternoons and evenings, and acting on many of the ideas with the campers.

Our team is very experienced when it comes to homesickness or other concerns, and has a variety of practical solutions. The camp team is there for the children around the clock.

But even before the camp, you can help to avoid this before it starts: explain to your child how the trip will be and pack a familiar item. Explain to your child that the Berlitz team is always there and can be approached at any time.

The leisure activities vary and depend on the location. You can already choose from different programs when booking: These range from horseback riding and football camps to windsurfing programs or canoeing adventures.

In addition to these fixed program elements, our teams plan our other activities on site on a daily basis in order to be able to react flexibly to the wishes of the participants as well as the local weather.

Our team will answer all questions regarding the ages of the other participants in the booked camp. Simply contact us. The age groups are also indicated for each camp in our online shop.

Yes, absolutely! Usually a big number of the participants come to camp without any friends - but go home with many new ones!

At overnight camps, three meals are inlcuded (breakfast, lunch, dinner) as well as drinks like juices, tea, or water. Depending on the location, lunch can be carried out as packed lunch and dinner will be a warm meal.

At our Day Camps (without overnight stay), kids and teens receive a lunch together per day, including drinks like juices, tea, or water.

Usually, we can take care of food intolerances or special dietary requirements. Please indicate this information in the questionnaire and contact us before the camp so we can check the possibilities on-site.

You will find all information about your packing list in the travel information which we will send to you via email before the camp starts.

Some camps have special requirements:

• Watersports camps: Own swimwear and towels are required.
• Horse riding camps: You child needs an adequate riding equipment.

Medication has to be indicated in advance in the questionnaire.

In case your child takes medication regularly, please hand it over with an appropriate labeling to the Camp Director on arrival day. After prior consultation with the facility, the medication can be refrigerated if necessary.

Should your child need help with taking the medication, please inform the Camp Director in advance.

It is your decision how many pocket money you give your child for the camp. Based on experience, we recommend 20€ per camp week.

This depends on the location. You can contact us in advance to get information about the room size for your desired camp.

It is important that your child informs our counselors, if there is anything he or she needs to talk about. When not feeling comfortable in the room, it is best to contact the team, so we can find a good and quick solution together.

Use of mobile phones is only allowed during specific times at our camps. At nights, all mobile phones are locked in a safe at the counselors room.

Regardless whether it is a sports camp, a climbing camp or else: Our counselor team is trained to motivate the children and young people to speak actively in the foreign language at all times. Just like during a stay abroad.

In the mornings, it’s time for language instruction: Learning takes place through exercises that encourage active speaking, such as interviews or role-playing. During the afternoon and evening group activities, all communication between the staff and your child will also take place in the foreign language. Exceptions are made for instructions for special sports activities (e.g. water sports or horse riding), safety-related information, or emergencies.

Of course the kids sometimes speak to each other in their native language. But customer feedback from recent years shows that most students are more confident in speaking in the foreign language after the holiday camp.

The children are divided by age and knowledge of the language. If, for example, a participant is bilingual but 10 years old, he or she can take part in language lessons for older kids for sure.

Our counselors are trained according to the Berlitz methode and are experienced in teaching children. Additionally, they have to show a first aid certificate and an extended criminal record.

Yes, all participants receive an email with the camp magazine and a link, where the individual certificate can be downloaded (incl. language level).

We do not offer group transfers for our camps. Organization of arrival to and departure from the location (e.g. ferry or bus tickets) must be made independently from Berlitz.
